This wonderful service is specifically designed for pets that may need to be shaved down for a variety of reasons. Whether your pet is completely matted or simply requires a fresh start to feel comfortable and happy again, I’ve got you covered!
I do not provide a grooming table due to the considerable time required for both setup and breakdown, as well as possible space limitations. For the adorable cats and small dogs, grooming is typically conducted on a suitable surface within the home, such as a table, counter, or even the floor, with a towel placed down to collect hair and keep everything nice and tidy. For our medium and large dogs, the grooming is performed on the floor, where they can feel relaxed and comfy during their pampering session!

No, they do not! All of my fantastic services are conducted right in the comfort of your own home, where both you and your pet feel most at ease. Fear Free is a series of certifications that offers vital training in an array of Fear Free techniques, all designed to minimize anxiety and stress for pets during grooming sessions/vet visits. By incorporating effective methods such as positive reinforcement, desensitization, and gentle handling, groomers are able to craft a calm, soothing environment where pets can feel both safe and secure. The ultimate goal is to help pets build positive associations with simple grooming services, transforming what was once a stressful ordeal into a pleasant and enjoyable experience. With this compassionate approach, pets can truly find simple and necessary grooming services EASY!

I always encourage pet owners to assist in holding and gently distracting their pets during various services. This collaboration not only helps the pet feel more at ease, but it can also create a comforting environment.
For our furry friends, especially dogs, they often thrive in situations where they are softly held or lightly restrained, almost as if they're receiving a big hug.
When it comes to our feathered, scaly, or small furry pals like birds, reptiles, and rodents, it’s typically best to have a hand towel or washcloth on hand to carefully wrap them in for security.
For our feline companions, using a bath towel or a cozy small blanket can work wonders for wrapping them up snugly and helping them feel calm and safe.
-
Muzzles provided are for DOG GROOMING use only!
While I do not require that any pet be muzzled during their grooming session, I happily provide muzzles if they are needed for any reason!
The muzzles I offer come in an array of 7 different sizes and are adjustable in 2 places (behind ears and around muzzle) to ensure a comfortable and proper fit. However, it's always best to use your own muzzle if possible.
-
It’s usually best to place your cat in a bathroom or a cozy, confined space where they can be easily retrieved with minimal fuss. I suggest putting them there about 30 minutes to 1 hour before the appointment. This little bit of preparation allows them ample time to acclimate to their temporary digs, ensuring they feel comfortable before a new stressor (yours truly!) arrives to disrupt their peace. Having a soft bath towel or a blanket on hand is a fantastic idea! Not only is it the easiest way to scoop them up in a hurry, but it also offers a sense of security, helping your feline friend feel snug as a bug! The happier they are, the easier the appointment will be!

Medications like but not limited to Gabapentin and Trazodone can absolutely be incredibly useful for at-home services when caring for a fearful pet! Just like muzzles, they aren’t a strict requirement, but you know your pet best, and you are the best judge of their needs.
If you truly think they would benefit from being medicated, then I wholeheartedly recommend dosing as directed on the label for the particular medication. These medications are prescribed by a DVM only.
If you do not have sedatives readily available on hand and that is something you are genuinely interested in exploring, you can easily reach out to your pet's veterinary office and ask for their specific requirements that must be met for your beloved pet to obtain said medications or something along those lines. If you explain your situation, they will understand and point you in the right direction!
Remember, a little extra love and care can go a long way in easing their jitters, especially if you do not have any meds readily available or if you are not in favor of medicating your furry friend!
